The devastating a tropical Cyclone Komen hits Myanmar and brought several days of heavy rainfall caused floods and landslides in its States and Regions on late July 2015. On 31 July, the President declared Chin and Rakhine states, and Magway and Sagaing regions as natural disaster zones. In Chin State, eastern parts of Tedim and Tonzang Townships affected landslide along mountain slope caused transportation roads, upland farmland, drinking water sources are damaged. Water level reached the top of building and floods covered crop fields with mud and silt, particularly in Kale valley, Sagaing regions.

Ar Yone Oo provided emergency assistance to the disaster victims for about 6 months with the help of Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Caritas Switzerland (CACH), World Food Programme (UNWFP), Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO), and Lashio Association-Yangon, etc.
