Realizing the full economic and

Ar Yone Oo Social Development Association (AYO-SDA) is a registered, non-political, non-sectarian and not-for-profit organization operating in various part of Myanmar. It is committed to serve the most vulnerable people without prejudice of gender, religious or ethnic background. It initiates the establishment and capacity building of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) for sustainability of development projects. It is running several projects in Myanmar with 70 staff members and its Head Office is in Yangon.
Myanmar is an agricultural country, and the agriculture sector is the backbone of its economy. The agriculture sector contributes the bigest percent of country GDP followed by services sector.
Myanmar is exposed to a number of natural hazards, including cyclones, storms, floods, landslides, earthquakes, tsunamis, drought, fire and forest fires.
Ar Yone Oo was established within days after Cyclone Nargis hit the Ayeyarwaddy Delta in 2008 and has since become an effective, local non-governmental organization (NGO).
Ar Yone Oo Social Development Association (AYO-SDA) is the main counterpart in "Building Sustainable Peace in Myanmar" project.
